We are registered in England and Wales under company number 5012944 and have our registered office at Limehurst House, Bridge Street, Loughborough, Leicestershire, LE11 1NH. Our VAT number is GB  812 384444.
    1. This policy (together with the documents referred to on it) sets out the basis on which we will process any personal data which we collect from you, or that you provide to us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it. By engaging us to provide services for you, or visiting http://www.web2jobs.eu (our “Site”), you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this policy.

TYPES OF VISITOR

  1. When accessing our Site, you may fall into one or more of the following categories:

3.1          you are a visitor to our site and are browsing and want to contact us to find out more information (a “Visitor”);

3.2          you are a registered learner/user of the web2jobs platform  (a “Client”); or

3.3          you have asked  to access the learning materials and participate in the ‘learning community’ on the web2jobs platform .

INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT FROM YOU

  1. How you might provide us with information: You may give us information about you:

4.1          by filling in forms or questionnaires (whether on our Site or on paper);

4.2          when you subscribe to use our Services;

4.3          when you register to use our Site;

4.4          by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise;  and

4.5          when you report a problem with our Site.

  1. The information you might provide to us: You are most likely to be asked to provide us with your:

5.1          first and family name;

5.2          address;

5.3          age on registration;

5.4          gender;

5.5          the language(s) you speak;

5.6          e-mail address;

5.7          responses to our evaluation surveys.

  1. Information we collect about you: With regard to each of your visits to our Site we may automatically collect the following information:

6.1          technical information, including the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform;

6.2          information about your visit, including the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL);

6.3          details of the clicks you make through and from our Site (including date and time);

6.4          Site administration details such as page response times and download errors;

6.5          details of the length of your visits to certain pages;

6.6          page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs);  

6.7          methods used to browse away from the page; and

6.8          any phone number used to call our customer service number.

  1. Information we receive from other sources: We may also receive information about you from third parties including, for example:

7.1          the “Sponsoring Organisation” for whom, or at whose request, you are using the Site (which will typically be your employer, prospective employer, college, school, university or training provider);

7.2          our sub-contractors in technical and delivery services; and

7.3          analytics providers.

USES MADE OF YOUR INFORMATION

We use information held about you in the following ways:

  1. Information you give to us: We will use this information:

8.1          to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us or between us and your Sponsoring Organisation (see Paragraph 7.1 above). This may include reviewing and advising on your responses to our evaluation surveys. See Paragraph 12 below for further detail;

8.2          to provide you with the information, products and services that you request from us;

8.3          to provide you with information about other goods and services we offer that are similar to those that you have already purchased or enquired about;

8.4          to notify you about changes to our service.

  1. Information we collect about you: We will use this information:

9.1          to administer our Site and for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical and survey purposes;

9.2          to improve our Site to ensure that content is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer;

9.3          to allow you to participate in interactive features of our service, when you choose to do so;

9.4          as part of our efforts to keep our Site safe and secure; and

9.5          to make suggestions and recommendations to you and other users of our Site about goods or services that may interest you or them.

  1. Information we receive from other sources: We may combine this information with information you give to us and information we collect about you. We may us this information and the combined information for the purposes set out above (depending on the types of information we receive).

DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION

  1. Firstly, and most importantly, we will not disclose any information which you provide to us as part of the web2jobs modular, blended learning programme unless you have specifically consented to such disclosure.
  2. Secondly, we will not pass on or sell your information to any unconnected third parties to use for advertising or marketing purposes.
  3. Subject to Paragraphs 12 and 13 above, your information may be shared with:

13.1       where you are a client (see Paragraph 3.3 above), your Sponsoring Organisation (see Paragraph 8.1 above);

13.2       those administrators and technicians involved in the set up and management of your account and the database of learning resources;

13.3       staff and associates involved in the delivery of our services;

13.4       other professional experts involved in anonymous statistical analysis of large groups of participants in this service for research, evaluative, validatory and continuous improvement purposes (you will not be identifiable in or contacted in connection with any such activities);

13.5       the Education, Culture and Audiovisual Executive Agency. EACEA which is entrusted with the implementation of programmes and activities on behalf of the European Commission. ;

13.6       any member of the web2jobs consortium, which means the partner organisations of the consortium and their subsidiaries (as defined in section 1159 of the UK Companies Act 2006).

  1. Subject to Paragraphs 11 and 12 above, we may disclose your personal information to additional third parties:

14.1       if We or substantially all of our assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data we hold will be one of the transferred assets;

14.2       if we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other agreements; or

14.3       if strictly necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the partners in the web3jobs consortium, our customers/client, or others.

WHERE WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

  1. The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area ("EEA"). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us, for one of our subcontractors or for one of our associate distributors. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.
  2. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our Site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

YOUR RIGHTS

  1. You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes (even if you have previously consented to such processing). You can exercise the right to prevent such processing at any time by contacting us at info@web2jobs.eu.

ACCESS TO INFORMATION

  1. The Data Protection Act 1998 (the “Act”) gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.

CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

  1. Any changes we may make to our privacy policy in the future will be posted on this page. Please check back frequently to see any updates or changes to our privacy policy.

  1. Our Site uses cookies, including flash cookies. Cookies are small configuration files which our system asks your browser software (e.g. Internet Explorer, Safari or Firefox) to store on your computer for us.

  3. We use Cookies to identify you so we can remember your preferences, and to track where you are if you are undertaking an assessment and lose the connection.
  4. If you delete the Cookies stored on your system, or you set your browser not to accept cookies from us, you will need to re-set your preferences when you visit our Site, and you will not be able to re-start an assessment where you left off, should you be disconnected.
